Night out with 00G

As I opened my Bible on Tuesday, February 17th, I found this chic little envelope and invite poking out...My love, aka "OOG," was inviting me to a James Bond themed Black Tie Party.
Friday, February 27th
After a very hard two weeks of intense work on a Matilda Jane re-sale event, my home clothing sale and then my Just Between Friends sale, it was super exciting to get dressed up and have a fancy night out with my handsome man.
Any excuse to wear my red "Paris" lipstick is a good thing! :-)
Abby Lou was our pre-party photographer...she got us from nearly every angle in the house!
Southern Hills had a Martini Bar made entirely out of ice! It was so dang cool, but so dang cold!!!
G holding his "shaken, not stirred" Bond Martini
(looked so chic, but tasted ickkk!)
Look who was at the party?!!
Even the desserts had a 007 theme going...and yes, as always, I had one of everything ;-)
This came after champagne, appetizers, and a yummy salmon & filet mignon dinner. This plate of sweet goodness was paired with a decaf coffee topped off with Baileys...yummo!
Dave and the Wavetones rocked the stage while me and 00G rocked the dance floor!
(wish we had an action shot...we were out there at least 45 minutes! yeah baby!!)
I loved every minute of holding this guy tight all night...
Our cute mirrored frame *Party Favor
Despite being a bit reluctant about getting out on a 15 degree snowy night, it turned out to be such a wonderfully fun evening. Thank you goes to my oh so debonair hubs for whisking me away! xo

18

Today is the day that I celebrate the best thing that happened to me in my life…a boy that I dated for 6 years asked me to marry him. Our Wedding Anniversary is my most favorite thing to celebrate. A beautiful gift that God created for him and I…a gift that has brought more joy than I ever thought imaginable. I deserve none of it, but because of God’s immeasurable amount of grace & love I am showered with blessings from this gift. Our story is the greatest miracle I have ever experienced…and it is still unfolding. To the handsome boy that I have loved for 24 years…Happy 18th Anniversary! I love you more today. xo #myforeverlove
I came home from a very busy day of JBF pre-sale, my first Guts Girls High Tea Brunch, and a few errands to this...I'm calling it some "Island Romance" hee hee
Red Roses, new Tennis rackets for my love and I, our new Z Gallery Paris flutes, and a bag with something fun to open tonight on our date
(Abby's artistry)
*Cheers to the Best 18 Years of My Life!!!!*
Big G had set the agenda for the night...our first stop, 'The Tavern" in DT Tulsa
(I LOVE surprises...so he's started planning our dates. I'm just along for the ride! Our 2nd stop was Glacier Chocolates for my 1st dark chocolate haystack - soooo delish)
My new bling...such a fun reminder of our amazing trip to Paris with A and G
"Oui, Oui...uhhhh uhhhh uhhhh" :D
My sweet man also had my favorite Merritts cake waiting at home in the fridge...Chocolate Raspberry Ganache - yummmmm
We enjoyed it with our fab four the next day after church :-)
A perfect end to another perfect Anniversary Celebration.

Surprise Date Raised Up

Oh what a Splendid Surprise it was when my other line rang while I was on a typical Friday morning phone call. I clicked over to tell my hubs I'd need to call him back in a bit. He quickly muttered off "Hey - would you want to go to the Josh Groban concert tonight?"
"Uh ye-ah..." I replied. (DUH)
Next thing I knew I was scrambling to find a sitter, a ride here and there for kiddo activities, and VOILA! We were set to go!!
The opening act was every bit as fabulous as Josh imo (imo= in my opinion).
His name is Eric Lewis, and he goes by "ELEW."
He played the piano in a way I had never heard before..."Rockjazz" is what he called it.
My favorite was his rendition of Coldplay's song, *Clocks - oh my...it was so moving.
(you can check Elew out on ITunes...just wish *Clocks was longer than a measly 2 minutes)
The cheesy self portrait while we sat waiting for Josh to begin
(which btw, was a ridiculous wait...tickets said 7:30 p.m. and he didn't start 'til 9!)
Needless to say, it was worth the wait.
That voice...goodness gracious...is a Gift from God!
Tried 10x to get my "You Raise Me Up" video to upload...but, no can do. Sorry.
This will have to do.
I want to thank Nana & Grandad for so lovingly and generously offering their tickets to Greg and I...it was a Date we'll always remember.
