Perfect Pairings

Let them praise His Name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.
Psalms 149:3

"Perfect Pairings" is a fun and easy way to blog. Just find a picture you like and then pair it with a scripture...or, vice versa, think of a scripture and try to find a picture to fit its theme. :)

Then, post your link in the comment section below. What a great way to share a picture, and at the same time, honor God with His Word. LOVE it!

Perfect Pairings

For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.
Hebrews 4:12

Owen Gets in the Game!

The O-Man and I surprised Abby and brought her lunch last week.
She was all SMILES. :) :) :)
After lunch, Abs wanted me to come see where she plays at recess. She and one of her besties escorted Owen out to the playground.
Abby was on Cloud 9!
Owen felt like he was at DisneyWorld!
Our 1st Stop...a Tether Ball Game.Owen was mesmerized.
Our last stop:
A 3rd Grade Boys Soccer Game that Owen was determined to be a part of.
Abby asked the "head dude" if her little brother could have a turn with the ball.
He agrees.
Owen goes for it!
The Head Dude gives Owen a congratulatory head pat.
Mommy drags Owen away as he cried out "Soccer Game...Soccer Game."
Your day will come sweet boy...all too soon, your day will come.

Oh Crap! She's Up!

Be the kind of woman that
when your feet hit the floor each morning,
the Devil says "Oh crap, she's up!"

Wouldn't it be so awesome to know that each morning when we awake, Satan is on his guard, spittin' in frustration, and shakin' in his chili pepper boxers?!

The Bible tells us that we can overcome the Devil if we put on the whole armor of God.
Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist,
righteousness like armor on your chest,
and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. In every situation take the shield of faith,
and with it you will be able to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is God's word.
Ephesians 6:14-17

Do you know any women that make the Devil quiver?? Boy I do!
Here are just a few that come to mind:
Esther Gene M.
Stephanie L.
Joyce Meyer
Susan E.
Cheryl B.
Beth Moore

Who do you think causes Satan to say "Oh crap, she's up!"?

Let's commit to become this type of woman. Let's be the Lucky Lady that makes that little fire throwin', lyin', stinkin' devil to think "Oh crap! Here she goes again!"

Perfect Pairings

Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
Ephesians 6:11

1. hallelujer 11 up, 1 down
hallelujer is the ebonics version of hallelujah.
the word is usually credited to madea (and often used by oprah winfrey) a character portrayed by black film maker tyler perry in his numerous plays and films.
"Lucky for me - the po po didn't catch me speeding to wednesday bible study - hallelujer! "
Okay, so this Momma is shoutin' out a big "HALLELUJER" because my little O-Man, #1 potty trained since June, FINALLY went #2 on the potty today!
It was such a God thing as I wasn't even supposed to be home. But, due to Mother Nature's little downpour, we came home to eat lunch and that's when the amazing act of poo in the pot happened! Long story short, after our 3rd time to run to the potty (mind you...up until today, he wouldn't even sit there - he's a stander upper kind of guy), the deed happened.
I have seriously prayed over this situation for weeks...and especially the past week since pre-school started yesterday. We sang, prayed and recited scripture as he sat. Just as His Word promises...God heard our prayers, & success was achieved!
Silly Owen as he enjoyed his ice cream reward
p.s. I don't usually condone rewarding kids with sweets, but hey -
desperate times call for desperate measures.
