Mini Me's

The other day, I was just going along with all my usual home activities when I got a surprise visit by two very silly, but super creative little girls. :-)
They had decided to play dress up...but, not just any dress up today.
No ~ they decided to dress up like someone very close to their hearts.

They were so proud of their innovative wardrobe choices.
I have to say...they were right on the money!
Truly...like Mother, like Daughter. :-)

OK Girlz Weekend

Believe it or not, but I am about to part on my first Girls Weekend away (apart from baby or Wedding festivities) with my two besties from college. We go back a looong time, and have a LOT of memories! From McCasland 510 (our OU dorm room) to being Pi Phi's together...we could laugh til we cried thinking about it all.
We are treating ourselves to a weekend of shopping, eating, slumbering party-ing and then back to Norman for the OU football game tomorrow. Crossing my fingers we'll get our hands on a Swirl from The Mont - our old stompin' grounds! :-)
Love these two girls!

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.

Fun*Family*Friday

FUN * FAMILY * FRIDAY
(my Momma with Abby, Ella & Baby Tanner)
Friday afternoon we made a road trip to Edmond, OK to celebrate the youngest King grandbaby ~ TANNER's 1st B'day. My kids could NOT wait to see their little cousins...especially Owen! He and his cuz Austin are Buds!
And oh how Abby Lou loves her some baby!
 She literally played with the B'day Boy from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left.
And how could you not when someone's got a face like this...
Oma & Grandpa won the prize for best gift...
A personalized Cozy Coupe!
Miss Ella gave little party guests wagon rides
*Happy Birthday Dear Tanner...Happy Birthday to you!
Me & My Lil' Bro Kendall
Oh how I wish he and his family lived in T-Town...hanging out with them made me realize just how much I miss them.
My awesome sister-in-law Courtney
Owen the Pirate appeared later in the evening...always keeps us laughing!
Cuddle time with Austin before it was time to head back to T-Town
A little "Surprise Ride" stop before we hit the turnpike
The kids' selections from the over 500 to choose from:

 Each night as the sun sets on Arcadia, LED lights transform it into a dazzling light show of Times Square-quality luminosity.  An infinite array of colors and patterns.
One Fun Family Friday! :-)

Girls of Grace ~ 5th Year

This is the kick-off of our 5th year of Girls of Grace.
Girls of Grace is a group of gals who get together to share a meal and grow their faith. If Bunko & Bible Study got together and had a baby...this would be it! :-) It's fun with a purpose! We share from the heart, we study scripture and we encourage one another's Faith Journeys. It's a priceless thing.

Acts 2:42

They spent their time in learning from the apostles, taking part in the fellowship, and sharing in the fellowship meals and the prayers.

Perfect Pairings ~ Proverbs 4:1-2, 5-6

{After two years of attempts, Ella has FINALLY learned to ride her bike...Woo Hoo!! This is all thanks to her amazingly, patient Daddy!)
 Listen, my daughters, to a father’s instruction;
   pay attention and gain understanding.
I give you sound learning,
   so do not forsake my teaching
Get wisdom, get understanding;
   do not forget my words or swerve from them.

Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
   love her, and she will watch over you.
Proverbs 4:1-1-2, 5-6
{He also spends nearly every night patiently listening to Ella read aloud as she works to get in all her reading minutes. Love that Daddy!}

Perfect Pairings ~ Romans 15:14

I wish I had time to go back through my 37,000 (seriously) digital pictures to find a picture of Will & Abby at almost the exact same ages doing the exact same thing - except I think Will was in a tutu!
As inconvenient as it was to grab the camera at the time I saw Ella & Owen do this, it was an absolute must...and here's why:
These two are not known for playing joyfully together. No, instead, they are known for having a serious case of *sibling rivalry.
I actually think deep down that there is an amazing love connection going on...and I caught them letting it all out!!  :-)
This brought such happiness to a Momma's Heart
(Note: it's quite obvious Owen was NOT meant to be a girl...just ain't working for ya little man!)
Now I have digital proof of brother & sister bonding - can't u just see it on their rehearsal dinner video's one day?!!
My brothers and sisters, I am sure that you are full of goodness. What you know is complete. You are able to teach one another.
Romans 15:14
