Perfect Pairings ~ Deuteronomy 1:30-31

I tried to relieve your fears: "Don't be terrified of them. God, your God, is leading the way; He's fighting for you. You saw with your own eyes what He did for you in Egypt; you saw what He did in the wilderness, how God, your God, carried you as a father carries his child, carried you the whole way until you arrived here.
Deuteronomy 1:30-31 (The Message)

{ "Perfect Pairings" is a fun and easy way to blog. Just find a picture you like and then pair it with a scripture...or, vice versa, think of a scripture and try to find a picture to fit its theme. Then, post your link in the comment section below. What a great way to share a picture, and at the same time, honor God with His Word! }

Perfect Pairings ~ I Thessalonians 5:8-9

8But we belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate of faith and love and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
9For God has not appointed us to incur His wrath, but that we might obtain His salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
1 Thessalonians 5:8-9

A Picture Perfect Easter

It wouldn't be right for me not to journal one of our most glorious Easters of all time!
We began the beautiful holiday with an old fashion Egg Hunt at the oh so delightful Conley Farm.
The Conleys are most hospitable & generous. They open up their home & their beautiful land to our Sunday School Class, along with many other families.
We have a good ol' fashioned Potluck...with decorated tables in a barn!
Owen likes him a Potluck Dinner!
And Willster likes him some Fire! (seriously, he's a bit of a pyromaniac)
The weather was picture perfect
Friends bonded

Chickens clucked
And the famous Treehouse ready for visitors!
What happened when the kids heard the Egg Hunt was about to commence...
Run Forrest, Run!!!
They ran...and they ran...
Till they got up to the starting point & grabbed their baskets!
The kids were broken down into age brackets and led to the pasture..
And off they went!
My baby boy
And baby girl...

And believe it or not, the hunt was so dang cool that even my almost 11 yr old boy
joined in on the fun!
Doesn't this make you wanna go on an Egg Hunt?!
It brought such delight to me to watch precious kiddo's take part in such clean cut fun...reminded me of my own childhood.
Stop! Time for a party pic!
After accumulating tons of eggs, it was off to the Treehouse!

Ella w/ her precious friend she met 4 yrs ago in pre-school...
Just a swingin'...
I just wanna kiss that face of hers!
('cause it reminds me so much of her Daddy's!)
The lil' girls have a grand idea...
Gather rocks...and...
Throw 'em in the water!
The Big girls would rather just pose for a photo :)
These three have been dear friends since they were in diapers!
Easter Morning
Four filled baskets...
for four of my little friends
I think they liked what Peter Cottontail delivered :)
(For the 1st time, I actually bought some pretty cool fillers!)
The Family Shot
The Motherly shot
The Fatherly shot
How we got the Motherly & Fatherly shot :)
One cutie patootie!
Off to Oma's for Easter Dinner...
Baby cousin Austin gets a Big Hug from the Big O
The older grandkids hid eggs for all the little people
Abby & Cousin Grant
Oma helping Abby reach an egg up in the tree
Ella Bella searching for more and more eggs...
Our oldest cousin on the King Side - Miss Lauren - always so loving toward my kiddo's
I simply cannot believe she will be turning 16 in August!!
My little brother Kendall with his wife Courtney, their son Austin, and their baby due in Sept
Owen served as our entertainment while he "Swooshed" the soccer ball into the BB net over and over and over and over...
Kendall playing airplane with his boy
This truly was one of my favorite Easters of all Time...between all of the above + a beautiful church service, a yummy brunch, visits from all of our grandparents, and so much more.
It was a weekend I will forever cherish.
But, none of it would mean much if it weren't for the fact that my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ died for me over 2000 years ago. This weekend was just a glimpse of the the beautiful future that He has planned for us...nothing will compare.
