Mediterranean ~ Day 1

Day 1 of My Honey & I's Mediterranean Cruise
Tulsa Airport - getting ready to fly to Atlanta & then on to Barcelona, Spain
Greg was SO proud of his new Eddie Bauer duffle - he said it's the one the Mt. Everest dudes use!
Shuttle ride from Barcelona airport to port
Our 1st sighting of our Home away form Home for the next 7 Days -
*THE LIBERTY OF THE SEAS*
The world's 3rd largest cruise ship
After getting on board, we quickly changed into out suits to go catch some afternoon rays
But 1st - we had to try out our suite's balcony - such a BEAUTIFUL view!
Looked like a postcard
Barcelona
View of balcony from room - we had 2 chaise lounges & then a table & set of chairs
We LOVED hanging out here in the evening before dinner!
Off to the ING Welcome Reception ~ we couldn't wait to see all our compadres that we have met over the past few years of vacationing together
Me & Emme ~ my sweet friend from Houston, TX
Had to get a cheesy shot of the lion shaped ice sculpture...ROAR!!
Two of our favorite friends from Florida ~ Newlweds
Vaughn & Florence
Time for our 9:00 p.m. dinner in the Michelangelo Dining Room ~ check out that chandelier!
I think they may have stole it from Paris Hilton's bedroom!!
The dining room was 3 stories tall & just gorgeous!
Every night we got a leather bound menu full of delicious entree & dessert options...ahhh, now that was the life!
!
Don't laugh, but I ordered 3-4 "starters" each night before the main dish. When there's no limit on what one can order, why not, right?! :-) I tried everything from strawberry gazpacho to caviar to seafood laksa!
The 1st night was my most energetic night - I was SO off schedule & my body thought it was like 10:00 in the morning! I drug Greg to the boat's groovy Disco...

and then on to the Piano Bar...we had a BLAST!
Well, until we paid for it the next day - 5 hours of sleep, and 8 hours off schedule, does NOT do the body good!
Stay Tuned for Day 2!

3-4 starters who wouldn't sample the starters! To much fun!
