Who Wants to Play Football?!
After 4 1/2 years of dreaming about playing sports...the day FINALLY arrived for Owen to do his thang!
After hearing about the awesome Upward Football program from a dear friend, we decided this would be the perfect 1st sport for our baby boy
We loaded up the whole fam and headed out to Bixby for his "Evaluation"
I had no idea how much I would enjoy watching my little man run a field...I could have watched him for hours!
He was intense, focused...
Playing sports is undoubtedly in his blood
which I believe is something he inherited from the King side...all five of us kids played numerous sports every year of our life. Some even used to say it was our life.
You would have thought Owen had played before the way that he so naturally displayed his skills.
Poor guy has actually never had one activity outside of church and pre-school.
Sadly, there just hasn't been time...
But, his time has come!
And oh it was Glorious!
He had his "stick up" as he refers to it, (hairstyle of choice) and his Under Armour shirt his Aunt Gayle got him for his 4th b'day
- he definitely "looked" the part :-)

Time to show off those muscles, and get the ball in the goal!
Daddy loved watching his boy play his high school sport...memories...oh memories
The final test...Distance.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1
Owen - we CANNOT wait to see you play your 1st game in August!
This is just the beginning son...the beginning of something magnificent!!
