He is FORE us

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is “fore” us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:23-24

My oldest son, Will, played in his 2nd junior club championship golf tournament today. I watched in absolute amazement how my 9 year old boy played this game that he loves with such fervor and focus.

Will gave up going to camp with his cousins so he wouldn't have to miss one morning of golf camp. He was out chipping balls in the backyard the day of a baseball game. He sets up a putting green on my bedroom carpet. He chooses the story of Tiger Woods as his afternoon reading material. Will loves golf.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Will truly plays golf as unto the Lord. He gives it his all. He also credits God with any success that he has. Whether it is golf, work, exercise, cleaning the house, or doing laundry..."All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty." Prov 14:23

Will – this blog is for you. Mommy is so proud of the young man you have grown into and the way you put your whole heart into the game of golf.

Yesterday was a day to remember. It was definitely a “MOMENT.”

Love your Biggest Fan

One of the most fascinating things about golf is how it reflects the cycle of life. No matter what you shoot - the next day you have to go back to the first tee and begin all over again and make yourself into something. ~Peter Jacobsen
