Perfect Pairings ~ Isaiah 40:26

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

Fond of his Faux Hawk

Oh my...this is my 3 yr old after his older siblings talked me into letting him wear a "Faux Hawk" to church. Not my favorite look...and his hair is really too long for it...but oh well. :)
He seriously was so excited about it!
Believe it or not, of all my children...including my two girls...this boy cares more about his clothes and hair than any of them!
(Favorite Outfit: OU Jersey & Basketball Shorts...has been known to throw
an XL fit if not allowed to wear them.)

One Step Closer to Her Dream...

My Abby has wanted to grow up to be a *FASHION DESIGNER* for a couple of years now...
We knew the only way for that dream to be able to come true is to get her in sewing lessons...
But, even before that...we knew she needed a sewing machine. So ~ for her 9th b'day, just last month, we gifted her with this:
Her very own, official Singer sewing machine.
Next, we signed up for summer sewing lessons with her dear friend Miah.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Here she is with her fabulous instructor on her very 1st day...
And here she is after her 2nd day with her very 1st creation! A machine sewn, lined tote bag with her name handstitched on front.
I don't know if I have ever seen her so excited!! She couldn't wipe the gigantic smile off of her face for hours!
(I totally remember the feeling when I took sewing 11 1/2 years ago when I was pregnant with Will. There's just nothin' like sewing your very own creation!)
We will cherish this darling tote bag for many, many years to come...
Who knows...maybe one day it will be worth gold after she becomes a world renowned Fashion Designer!!! :)

A Bit Behind...

I have to do a little self intervention this oh so beautiful July evening. I love pictures. I love journaling. I love creating memories. Thus, I love blogging for my family. It is a way for me to preserve special moments in our lives.

I am beyond behind on blogging about all the awesome happenings in our lives this summer. It has been full of some of the most exciting trips, camps, dinners, birthdays, newly learned skills, hysterically funny encounters, the list goes on and on... But, between road trips, VBS, sewing lessons, swim lessons, golf rounds, library trips, runs to Sams to load up on more food, piano lessons, play dates, Bible Study, etc. Momma just has not been able to catch her breath!

So, my goal is to, bit by bit, try to at least summarize some of the above. They will not be in chronological order perhaps...they will not be as detailed as I like...not all the pictures will be included...and they will most certainly not be categorized in the correct month...since I am behind...but, they will hopefully get here...eventually. I'm praying.

For my family, who I love and adore...Momma will do her best. I want you to be able to look back and read about and see what an INCREDIBLE JOURNEY God has provided for us!

XOXO,
Mom
